Entrepreneur & LLM Developer | CEO of EqualFrontiers | LLM Team Leader at Matsuo Lab, UTokyo | Disability Advocate with a progressive neurological condition similar to ALS | Waseda University (BA, MA)
I was born with a progressive neurological condition similar to ALS. I cannot operate an electric wheelchair, write, breathe without assistance, or speak. I am bedridden and communicate solely through an iPad, controlled by a switch I press with my head.
Despite these limitations, I have continued to push forward. I graduated from Waseda University with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree. As an entrepreneur, I founded EqualFrontiers, a company focused on disability employment, working to create opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in the workforce.
In the field of AI, I lead a 10-member LLM development team at the University of Tokyo's Matsuo Laboratory. In the Matsuo Lab LLM Competition 2025, I led Team oNo.1 (30-70 members) to 1st place in the qualifying round and 3rd place in the finals, competing against 358 participants nationwide. I have also published 23 AI models on Hugging Face.
I believe that the challenges faced by people with disabilities—challenges that traditional systems have failed to solve—can be addressed through entrepreneurship and innovation. My goal is to build a society where diversity is truly embraced, and where everyone, regardless of ability, can contribute and thrive.
Through my work, I hope to serve as one example of what is possible—even from a bed at home.
